Friday Night Presentation
To begin the weekend, Brenda will give an inspirational talk and slide show on the theme "Personal Expression: Photographing with Heart, Mind and Camera." Location: Jewett Hall, SMCC
Saturday Seminar
The full-day program is an instructional presentation titled "Creating Visual Impact: Essential Steps to Dynamic Travel, Location and Outdoor Photography." Brenda has commented:
"Most photographers want to create images with impact pictures that win awards, photographs that get remembered. Whether it's pure nature images, general outdoor scenes, or cultural landscapes that you photograph, there are essential elements that need to be considered when creating any picture. In this lively, information packed seminar, I will discuss each of the essential elements that, when combined, can add up to an outstanding photograph."
Seminar topics include: Seeing the potential in a scene · Working with available light · Creating visual depth · Composing for impact · Capturing the moment · Incorporating motion · Beyond the postcard: apply artistic interpretations using in-camera & in-computer techniques · Managing workflow & digital files at home and on the road · Equipment essentials: what's in the bag and why.
Location: Jewett Hall, SMCC
